The process began with sketching and gathering reference imagery to ground the design in Mediterranean Revival architecture while exploring how to weave in the playful character of Jungle Gardens. From there, the entrance and signage were modeled in Rhino. The model was then brought into Unreal Engine, where materials, lighting, statues, and foliage were placed in order to bring the space to life. Throughout the process, a key challenge was striking the right balance between whimsy and sophistication. The goal was to create something imaginative and engaging while still appealing to Sarasota’s wide and diverse audience.
