Kiosk Design
The CinemaDash Kiosk reimagines the movie theater experience by offering fresh, high-quality, local food options.
It is an opportunity for theaters to upgrade their food service and for local restaurants to gain new customers. The kiosk allows the guests to order delicious food from locally owned restaurants from the DoorDash app or the kiosk itself. The food can then be delivered to their seats or picked up at the kiosk.
The CinemaDash Kiosk enhances the theater experience, fosters local economic growth, and strengthens the bond between the community and the local businesses that serve them.
The Process
Researching the brand identities of both companies played a key role in shaping the design. For DoorDash, I focused on their sleek, modern aesthetic, which inspired the clean, contemporary exterior of the space. In contrast, AMC Theaters’ presence called for an interior that reflected the location’s history, so I drew from classic Hollywood Art Deco elements to create a space that felt glamorous and timeless. Balancing these two distinct identities allowed the design to feel cohesive while honoring each brand’s personality and the context of the site.
